Overlap style liners are installed under the top rail of the pool. To install an overlap style liner, remove the top rails, locking trim and coping strips all the way around the pool. Remove the older liner and drape the new liner over the top of the walls of the pool. Attach the coping strips over the liner and the top wall, holding the liner in place. Reinstall the locking trim and top rails and trim off the excess liner hanging down on the outside of the pool. To determine if you have an overlap style liner, you can look under the top rail on the outside of the pool for the liner hanging down.
Designed to snap into a track that runs all the way around the inside of the pool, Beaded style liners are manufactured with a groove, or a lip, up at the very top of the liner wall. The track and bead are what holds the liner in place. To determine if you have a Beaded style liner, you can look for the track under the top rail on the inside of the pool.
